Location: Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Onsite co-op from 05/10/2027 to 08/13/2027. Candidates must be permanently authorized to work in the United States for the full co-op term and must not require employment visa sponsorship.
Salary: $23.50–$52.50 per hour, based on program year, discipline, degree, and experience.

Healthcare and MedTech organization developing surgical products, platforms, and technologies including robotics, surgical instruments, staplers, energy devices, and synthetic mesh products.
What you will do
- Analyze structured and unstructured surgical datasets for robotics, handheld instruments, and digital product R&D teams.
- Contribute to the conceptualization of new surgical tools and platforms.
- Write software for collaborative data analysis and maintain data quality.
- Design and optimize data visualizations for stakeholders.
- Develop and conduct mechanical, electrical, and biological tissue laboratory experiments.
- Work with hardware engineers, data engineers, and data scientists under experienced mentorship.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in engineering, computer science, data science, statistics, or a related computing discipline.
- Have completed at least two semesters before the co-op term and remain a student during the term.
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Python and a strong foundation in mechanical or electrical engineering principles.
- Show leadership or participation in campus programs or community service and a strong interest in healthcare.
- Have permanent U.S. work authorization and not require current or future employment visa sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Experience with scientific or engineering datasets and Python data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-Learn, or PySpark.
- Experience with machine learning tools and algorithms, SQL, Tableau, or Git.
