Data Scientist (Master's Degree) Internship

Location: Cincinnati General Offices, United States; onsite internship

Starting pay: $29.00–$50.00 per hour

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable data science algorithms.
• Identify, process, and analyze large data sources using exploratory data analysis and feature engineering.
• Build models and analytical frameworks that turn data insights into measurable business recommendations.
• Collaborate with Data and Software Engineering teams to productionize algorithms.
• Develop expertise in data science techniques and contribute to technical coaching and mentorship.

Requirements

• Availability for a 12-week summer 2027 internship from mid/late May through early August 2027.
• Currently pursuing a master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Software Development, or a similar quantitative field.
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, prioritization, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work across business and technical functions and apply analytical techniques to business problems.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice to have

• Experience with Unix/Linux, Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, SQL, Hive, R, Python, C++, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with high-performance parallel and distributed computing.
• Experience with Keras, TensorFlow, data visualization, data management systems, KNIME, or Tableau.
