Engineering Analyst, Fire Protection

Salary: $76,000 per year at entry level; $96,000–$108,000 per year at mid-level; $128,000–$144,000 per year at senior level, plus bonus and 401(k).

What you will do

• Implement and maintain the station’s Fire Protection Program in line with regulatory requirements, fleet procedures, and NFPA standards.
• Prepare Fire Protection and FLEX program health reports and KPIs.
• Maintain program documentation, including the Fire Protection Report, Safe Shutdown Analysis, and procedures.
• Perform engineering evaluations, calculations, and reviews of fire barriers, detection, suppression, and safe-shutdown features.
• Review and approve design changes affecting fire protection systems or the licensing basis.
• Support regulatory inspections, self-assessments, audits, issue evaluations, and corrective action investigations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and relevant nuclear or related industry experience, or an equivalent combination of associate degree or high school diploma/GED and applicable experience.
• Experience requirements range from 1+ year for entry level to 8+ years for senior-level candidates, depending on education.
• Working knowledge of engineering processes and systems is required for mid-level and senior-level positions.
• Maintain minimum access or unescorted access requirements, as applicable.
• Pass favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.
