What you will do
- Conduct complex research and analysis to support the design, administration, and improvement of employee benefits programs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on benefit data and plan designs by preparing reports, presentations, reconciliations, and recommendations.
- Focus on retirement and financial wellbeing benefits, including administration and oversight of the 401(k) plan.
- Analyze utilization trends, benchmark data, and opportunities for program improvement; provide executive updates.
- Support vendor evaluations, RFPs, plan implementations, third-party administrator management, and benefits technology initiatives.
- Audit benefit data and vendor files, troubleshoot compliance and data integrity issues, and collaborate with Payroll, IS, and HR teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge in Human Resources or a related field.
- At least 3 years of professional-level US and/or Canada benefits analysis and administration experience.
- Experience with self-funded, multi-state benefits programs, vendors, RFPs, benefit plans, insurance and plan documents, and benefits data analysis.
- Knowledge of US and Canada benefits practices, ERISA, FMLA, IRC Section 125, Workers' Compensation, Medicare/Social Security, Service Canada regulations, OSHA, ADA, and COBRA.
- Strong analytical, statistical, communication, critical-thinking, business, financial, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills, and experience with enterprise HR systems such as Workday, Oracle Cloud HR, or SAP/SuccessFactors.
