General Manager - XtraMart

Location: Manchester, Connecticut, United States — onsite at XtraMart

Salary: $45,000–$81,972 per year

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day operations of a 24/7 XtraMart store and ensure compliance with company policies, safety programs, and applicable laws.
• Drive store profitability by managing expenses, revenue streams, merchandise plans, inventory, cash handling, and financial reports.
• Hire, schedule, supervise, coach, and develop store associates and management staff.
• Maintain high standards for customer service, store appearance, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
• Lead change initiatives, training programs, performance management, and corrective actions when needed.
• Build relationships with community partners and respond to guest feedback, complaints, and inquiries.

Requirements

• Leadership experience in a fast-paced retail, food service, or fuel environment is preferred.
• Experience selecting, training, scheduling, coaching, and managing staff, labor allocation, sales building, and expense management.
• Flexible availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays in a 24/7 business.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical activities throughout a shift and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
