What you will do

• Support the design, fabrication, assembly, testing, and checkout of prototype electro-mechanical systems and experimental circuitry.
• Perform operational testing, troubleshooting, and fault isolation on analog, digital, and RF systems and equipment.
• Assist with designing, constructing, testing, and checking out specialized test equipment.
• Use power supplies, function generators, multimeters, oscilloscopes, test programs, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Determine corrective actions for malfunctions and provide guidance to other nonexempt personnel when needed.

Requirements

• Associate of Science degree or equivalent in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• 4–6 years of experience working in an electronics laboratory.
• Knowledge of analog or mixed-signal design and laboratory troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with electronic bench equipment, including power supplies, function generators, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Experience assembling system-level evaluation boards and good soldering skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Experience with schematic or layout EDA software such as Altium.
• Satellite system design experience.
• Python programming for automating laboratory equipment through GPIB or USB communication.
• Knowledge of I2C and SPI communication protocols.
