Interior Designer

Location: Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, United States. Full-time, 40 hours per week, with showroom work, in-home consultations, driving, and evening, weekend, and holiday availability required.

Training pay: $20 per hour for 2–6 weeks without commission. Average annual earning potential after training: $80,000–$110,000+, including base pay, bonus, and commission. Post-training base pay: $26,000 per year, plus uncapped commission and bonuses.

What you will do

• Conduct in-home design consultations to understand clients’ lifestyles, preferences, budgets, and design visions.
• Create residential design concepts, layouts, digital presentations, finish selections, furnishings, and décor recommendations.
• Partner with clients and Sales Associates to develop cohesive, functional, and visually appealing spaces.
• Promote the In-Home Design program and work toward individual and store design-sales goals.
• Coach and support sales teams on design culture, product knowledge, sales techniques, and in-home design performance.
• Support store operations, promotions, meetings, administrative procedures, and brand visual standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of sales or residential interior design experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and computer-aided design programs.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, financial, customer-service, and goal-oriented skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle, meet driver-program qualifications, and travel for in-home consultations.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and pass background and drug screening.

• Design certification.
• Advanced presentation and communication skills, business acumen, entrepreneurial spirit, and experience building effective relationships.
• Experience in home furnishings or client-focused retail.
