Associate Engineer

Location: On-site in Yankton, South Dakota, United States. Must qualify as a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

What you will do

• Engineer assigned products from design inception through finished production, including manufacturing processes and controls.
• Design, test, document, and support routine to moderately complex engineering projects.
• Build or direct the fabrication of prototypes and redesign components to meet performance specifications.
• Design and improve test equipment, jigs, fixtures, tools, and production equipment.
• Investigate production and process problems, implement improvements, and support cost-saving activities.
• Work with customers and internal departments on product specifications, materials, manufacturing capabilities, and field issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Engineering, or equivalent.
• U.S. Person status is required due to access to information regulated by ITAR and/or EAR.
• Three to five years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to translate design and process concepts into usable specifications.
• Ability to work independently on complex projects and collaborate as a team member or project leader.
• Strong customer service orientation.
