Project Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Plan and manage engineering projects from concept through completion, including equipment acquisitions, facility construction, expansions, and manufacturing process improvements.
• Develop facility layouts, approve equipment drawings, and maintain engineering documentation.
• Coordinate project requirements, budgets, schedules, vendors, contractors, facility engineers, designers, and project managers.
• Implement new equipment and technology, facilities, suppliers, and distribution locations into existing manufacturing processes and supply chains.
• Optimize equipment, procedures, layouts, and departmental budgets to improve maintainability, reliability, and availability.
• Provide technical support during equipment installation, commissioning, testing, process documentation, training, safety activities, and manufacturing issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 3–5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or comparable solid modeling software.
• Experience with process improvement, metric development, problem-solving, and Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; detail-oriented, analytical, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to accept assignments involving intermittent travel of up to 40%.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with machinery, mechanical equipment, automation, construction methods, and construction equipment.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication processes such as welding, CNC milling, and facing.
• Database management experience and strong mathematical ability.
