VAVE Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Identify cost-reduction opportunities through industrial simplification and value engineering.
• Lead VAVE projects, including multi-site product-line consolidations, product transfers, test planning, testing, sample builds, and engineering document changes.
• Evaluate components, materials, and manufacturing processes to improve value, quality, cost-effectiveness, and production performance.
• Develop component and subassembly designs, including material selection, dimensions, tolerances, CAD layouts, 3D models, prototypes, and 3D-printed parts.
• Lead idea workshops and collaborate with international, technical, and cross-functional partners on manufacturing initiatives.
• Act as a technical lead, coordinating complex activities and supporting rapid prototyping and testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a similar field.
• At least 3 years of experience in VAVE engineering and industrial simplification.
• At least 5 years of related manufacturing-industry experience; sheet-metal design experience is preferred.
• Fluent written and spoken English is required.
• Proficiency with DFMEA, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, analytical tools, and SolidWorks.
• Project management experience driving international manufacturing initiatives and product-line transfers, with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
