Project Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Mill Hall, Pennsylvania, USA; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Plan, communicate, and execute capital and process improvement projects against time, cost, and results targets.
• Design, evaluate, modify, install, start up, and commission mechanical and electromechanical equipment and systems.
• Provide manufacturing engineering support to improve plant safety, productivity, scrap reduction, quality, equipment reliability, and new product development.
• Develop technical specifications, solicit and evaluate bids, manage contractors and vendors, and oversee installations.
• Track project schedules, budgets, commitments, acceptance criteria, preventive maintenance, spare parts, documentation, and operational procedures.
• Lead problem-solving teams, represent the organization on technical matters, and mentor maintenance and operations personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required; Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in industrial manufacturing environments.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, decision analysis, organization, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent priorities, and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Experience with AutoCAD for plant layouts, P&ID drawings, and detailed fabrication or machine drawings, or ability to learn it within six months.
• Experience with MS Office, MS Project, Minitab, AutoCAD, Mainsaver, Chase, and Rockwell RS software.

Nice to have

• Equipment design experience.
• Experience managing capital projects exceeding $5 million.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, automation controls, AC and DC drives, PLCs, sensors, motor controls, and facilities systems.
• Experience with SPC, DOE, FMEA, and MSE statistical analysis.
