UAS ROC Flight Operator (Robotics)

Location: Onsite at the Remote Control Operations Center in Riviera Beach, Florida, with the Control Center listed in West Palm Beach, Florida. Rotating shifts, including overnight shifts, weekends, and scheduled on-call coverage are required.

What you will do

• Conduct autonomous drone flights and monitor or control missions in real time using flight-control software and hardware.
• Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks, including battery management, system diagnostics, and data logging.
• Plan flight missions, analyze environmental conditions and terrain, and optimize flight routes.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance, documenting incidents, malfunctions, and operational anomalies.
• Collect, process, and analyze mission data while maintaining accurate flight, maintenance, and operational records.
• Troubleshoot drone-system issues, support internal and external customers, and suggest improvements to technology and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• FAA Part 107 drone operator license required.
• One to two years of experience in drone operation, aviation, or remote-control systems is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with GIS software and data integration.
• Strong customer-facing, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work onsite in rotating shifts, including overnight shifts and weekends, with scheduled on-call coverage.
