Summer 2027 Internship - Supply Chain

Salary: $28–$36 per hour, plus a monthly housing stipend and overtime eligibility.

What you will do

• Support sourcing and supplier qualification for mechanical, electrical, and specialty hardware components.
• Gather supplier information on pricing, lead times, availability, manufacturing capabilities, and technical requirements.
• Support purchasing, material planning, inventory management, supplier onboarding, and procurement documentation.
• Track supplier performance across delivery, quality, cost, and responsiveness.
• Conduct sourcing and market research to identify suppliers and alternatives for critical components.
• Analyze procurement data and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and finance to support development and production schedules.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in supply chain management, operations, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, business, economics, or a related field.
• Interest in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, manufacturing, or hardware operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort working with data and spreadsheets, managing multiple priorities, and maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience through internships, research, Formula SAE, robotics, engineering clubs, or personal projects.
• Experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, manufacturing, operations, or engineering.
• Familiarity with mechanical or electrical components, manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, BOMs, or technical documentation.
• Experience communicating with suppliers, requesting quotes, comparing bids, or negotiating pricing and lead times.
