CNC Machinist III (Medical Devices)

Location: Onsite at a manufacturing facility; the role involves operating production equipment, inspecting components, and performing physical material-handling duties.

What you will do

• Set up and operate Citizen, Tsugami, and Index lathes, Robo Drills, mill-turn equipment, and horizontal and vertical mills.
• Perform offsets, tool changes, preventive maintenance, and setup of complex legacy components and new production orders.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using precision equipment including CMM, microscopes, micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparators, Micro-Hite, and vision systems.
• Document inspection, material traceability, and nonconformance activities in ERP and QMS systems.
• Drive problem-solving and continuous-improvement activities for complex machine and process issues.
• Mentor lower-level machinists and collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and QA.

Requirements

• Technical school certification or equivalent transferable manufacturing or engineering experience.
• 3–7 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with medical device manufacturing or other regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, or automotive.
• Knowledge of GMP and ISO standards, including experience maintaining quality documentation and traceability.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and procedures; intermediate GD&T skills required.
• Ability to perform physical work, including prolonged standing or sitting, repetitive hand and arm movements, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
