CNC Machinist ||| (CNC)

What you will do

• Assist the shift supervisor with daily production planning, prioritization, and coordination of component movement.
• Lead production associates in completing assigned work safely, efficiently, and according to operating procedures.
• Train, instruct, and supervise employees using established production methods.
• Operate CNC and other production equipment to meet scheduled requirements.
• Support quality problem resolution with other production areas and perform equipment setup, calibration, and routine preventive maintenance.
• Identify improvement opportunities, provide feedback on process changes, maintain good housekeeping, and cross-train in other production areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least five years of experience operating production or machining equipment and at least five years of setup experience.
• Experience with CNC lathes and milling equipment; multi-axis CNC lathe experience is highly preferred.
• Mechanical capability, basic computer navigation skills, and the ability to use SAP are preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English for job and safety requirements.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, climb, handle equipment safely, and lift or move up to 75 pounds.

Nice to have

• Completed trade school or machining apprenticeship.
• Ability to make and repair tools.
