Quality Manager (Environmental)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; onsite and field work with travel required.

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Own, maintain, and administer the company Quality Management System, including SOPs, forms, checklists, and documentation standards.
• Manage document control, revisions, approvals, and periodic reviews with subject-matter experts.
• Develop and oversee field, office, documentation, and report-quality audit programs.
• Track audit findings, administer CAPA, and drive corrective-action closure.
• Translate EPA, Method 21, OOOOb, Subpart W, Appendix K, state, and client-specific requirements into operational controls.
• Manage risk assessments, training compliance, quality KPIs, executive reporting, and acquisition or expansion integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, Quality Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in quality management, compliance, operational excellence, auditing, or related operational leadership.
• Experience building or administering Quality Management Systems and managing audit or compliance programs.
• Strong knowledge of document control, SOP governance, corrective-action management, root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to walk or stand while handling technical equipment, work at heights, lift 20–30 pounds, work outdoors in all weather, and climb ladders and stairs.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check; willingness to travel is required.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance frameworks, and operational standards.
• Knowledge of ISO-based management systems and auditing methodologies.
