OT Cyber Innovation Lead (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Lead OT cyber security and technology innovation initiatives from early-stage concepts through trials, proof-of-concepts and implementation.
• Identify and assess emerging technologies that can improve cyber resilience and operational outcomes in industrial environments.
• Work with OT, cyber security, engineering and operational stakeholders to define requirements, objectives, benefits and delivery approaches.
• Develop business cases, project briefs, statements of work and supporting delivery documentation.
• Coordinate technical teams, operational stakeholders and external partners while managing vendors, consultancies and systems integrators.
• Track risks, dependencies, outcomes and benefits, and transition successful solutions into business-as-usual operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering technology, cyber security or innovation initiatives in OT, industrial or critical infrastructure environments.
• Good understanding of OT and Industrial Control System environments and the constraints of introducing new technologies into operational settings.
• Strong understanding of cyber security principles and their application in operational or industrial environments.
• Experience evaluating technologies through trials, pilots or proof-of-concepts and converting concepts into practical delivery plans.
• Experience developing business cases, project briefs or statements of work and managing supplier-led delivery.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, analytical, problem-solving and portfolio management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in energy, utilities or other Critical National Infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of SCADA, industrial networks, telecommunications or other operational technologies.
• Understanding of NCSC CAF, NIS Regulations or IEC 62443.
• Experience transitioning trialled technologies into business-as-usual operations.
• Awareness of artificial intelligence, automation and advanced operational technologies in OT environments.
