Medical Director, Global Medical Strategy

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $209,599–$313,375 per year, plus incentive opportunity.

What you will do

• Co-lead integrated brand strategies and develop medical situational analyses, strategies, and execution plans for assigned products.
• Lead evidence-generation planning, including post-marketing studies, Phase 4 research, investigator-sponsored studies, and post-hoc analyses.
• Develop scientific and medical content, oversee publication planning, and synthesize insights from external experts and stakeholders.
• Partner with HEOR, government affairs, patient advocacy, commercial, pharmacovigilance, regulatory, and clinical development teams.
• Lead advisory boards and maintain professional relationships with healthcare providers and scientific experts.
• Guide medical reviewers and lead cross-functional matrix teams while ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree such as MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of experience in pharmaceuticals or biotechnology, with direct Medical Affairs strategy experience.
• Expert knowledge or training in neurology, psychiatry, neuroscience, or neurophysiology preferred.
• Demonstrated strength in medical planning, tactical execution, research design analysis, and strategic thinking.
• Experience leading cross-functional matrix teams and influencing without direct authority.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, pharmaceutical regulations knowledge, and proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity tools.

• Product launch experience.
• Experience with psychedelic or neuroplastogen therapeutic research and development.
