Systems of Systems Integration Engineer SME (Missile Defense)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States. Full-time role with travel as needed.

What you will do

• Advise the government program office on system-of-systems integration for the Space-Based Interceptor and Missile Defense System.
• Conduct independent technical assessments, trade studies, and analyses of alternatives covering architectures, algorithms, and engagement strategies.
• Support requirements development, verification planning, and validation activities.
• Evaluate contractor design proposals, test plans, and integration strategies to reduce technical risk and improve performance.
• Integrate sensors, battle management and command-and-control systems, and interceptors into end-to-end engagement capabilities.
• Participate in wargames, simulations, technical reviews, and acquisition and architecture briefings for senior defense stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in systems-of-systems engineering and integration.
• Master’s degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering and digital engineering environments.
• Experience supporting MDA, USSF, or Army Space and Missile Defense Command programs.
• Familiarity with wargaming, simulation environments, and kill-web architectures.
• Published work, briefing experience, or thought leadership in fire control and missile defense communities.
