Senior Manager, Research Programs

Location: hirify.global Vancouver Campus, Vancouver, BC, Canada. The role is based on campus, requires flexible hours, and includes occasional travel to other sites such as the Diamond Health Care Centre.

Salary: $8,087.08–$12,117.08 CAD monthly.

What you will do

• Lead planning, implementation, and evaluation of multiple concurrent strategic research initiatives.
• Assess research environments, institutional barriers, system gaps, emerging opportunities, and partner priorities.
• Develop strategic options, business cases, governance frameworks, implementation models, and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Manage project lifecycles, including deliverables, timelines, resources, risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
• Lead multidisciplinary and cross-organizational teams, stakeholder engagement, negotiations, and change management.
• Establish performance measures, evaluation methods, reporting frameworks, and sustainable integration plans for completed initiatives.

Requirements

• For research work, a postgraduate degree or equivalent professional designation with at least four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Alternatively, an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline with at least six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects within defined timelines and resource constraints.
• Strong written and verbal communication, facilitation, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, manage resources and budgets, and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency with standard office software, including the MS Office Suite, and commitment to respectful, inclusive, and ethical conduct.

Nice to have

• Experience in an academic or postsecondary environment, particularly in research-related contexts.
• Experience in health care, health education, or health research.
• Experience contributing to strategy development.
