Manager, Subcontracts

Location: Farmingdale, New York, United States; onsite role with travel as required. Access to ITAR products and related technical data is restricted to US citizens and US permanent residents.

Salary: $101,807–$179,040 annually, with a possible annual or quarterly company bonus. Alternative shifts may include a shift premium.

What you will do

• Supervise subcontract awards and manage subcontracts against program budgets, quality, quantity, delivery, and strategic objectives.
• Review and approve subcontract purchase orders within signing authority while ensuring compliance with company and government procedures.
• Support subcontract definition and negotiations, evaluate potential suppliers, and manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
• Review proposal pricing, material lead times, shortages, and subcontract status data with program and manufacturing management.
• Coordinate subcontractor audits and submit bi-weekly status reports to the Director of Subcontracts.
• Prepare annual operating budget input and perform special assignments for senior subcontracts leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
• At least 10 years of related experience or training, including 5 years of management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of proposal evaluation, cost and price analysis, contract types, program scheduling, and planning.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
• Experience compiling, charting, reporting, and presenting detailed subcontract data to management.
• Must comply with US export-control requirements, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC policies.
