Director, Quality and Compliance (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Syracuse, NY, United States

Salary: $131,754–$231,705 annually, with a potential annual or quarterly bonus.

What you will do

• Own, maintain, and continuously improve the AS9100D-compliant Quality Management System across business functions.
• Coordinate audits, corrective actions, and compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements, including MIL-PRF-38534.
• Lead cross-functional resolution of customer quality issues and communicate sensitive matters to senior leadership.
• Define quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on scrap, yield, and process performance.
• Develop supplier quality through APQP, process capability improvements, and compliance initiatives.
• Build quality team capability, career development, and a people-centered quality culture as part of the site senior management team.

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of microelectronics and microwave manufacturing processes and process controls.
• IPC certification and knowledge of relevant IPC requirements.
• Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, or IATF 16949.
• Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in microelectronics or microwave manufacturing; compliance with applicable US export control requirements is required, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC procedures.
