Assistant/Associate Tenure-Track Professor - Department of Mathematics

Location: Main campus in Stephenville, Texas; onsite 9-month tenure-track position. Teaching may also be assigned at other campus locations or through approved instructional modalities based on operational needs. Work hours are generally Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, or as teaching requirements indicate.

What you will do

• Teach lectures, seminars, and laboratory courses for undergraduate and graduate students.
• Develop syllabi, select instructional materials, design assessments, and evaluate student learning outcomes.
• Use active learning, innovative teaching methods, and educational technologies to improve student engagement.
• Provide academic support, office hours, feedback, and mentoring to students.
• Maintain an active research, scholarship, or creative activity agenda and publish or present original work.
• Participate in departmental and institutional service, recruitment, committees, and program development.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline from an accredited university.
• At least 18 graduate hours with a MATH or STAT prefix.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Subject-matter knowledge sufficient for graduate-level instruction.
• Ability to interact professionally and collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff.
• Applicants must provide a cover letter, CV or resume, three professional references, transcripts, and a teaching and research philosophy statement of no more than 1,500 words.
