Collections Analyst

Location: South Plainfield, New Jersey, United States; in-office four days per week and remote one day per week. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Salary: $55,000–$69,000 per year.

What you will do

• Monitor aging reports and identify overdue accounts.
• Contact customers by phone and email to resolve outstanding balances and billing issues.
• Analyze payment trends and recommend credit holds or escalations.
• Collaborate with billing, customer service, and sales teams on unpaid invoices and customer inquiries.
• Prepare collection status reports and forecasts on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Track customer inquiries and outbound engagement, perform ad hoc analysis, and support order-to-cash improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in collections or accounts receivable.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with large volumes of data, manage multiple deadlines, and perform under pressure.
• Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States for any employer without restriction.
• Visa sponsorship is not provided.
