Supervisor of Accounting (Insurance Accounting)

What you will do

• Oversee revenue, disbursement, agency billing, receivables, payables, and carrier payments.
• Prepare month-end closing entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reports.
• Review and report employee commissions and incentive payments to corporate payroll.
• Compile quarterly and semiannual reporting for agency consultants, internal audit, and SOX reporting.
• Review accounting processes and controls and implement improvements.
• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of accounting employees.

Requirements

• Experience with Applied EPIC and strong knowledge of insurance accounting are required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least five years of related professional experience.
• Excellent project management, communication, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, with basic Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; employment-based visa sponsorship is not available.
