Supervisor, Accounting (Finance)

What you will do

• Supervise the accounting efforts of a team supporting complex business units.
• Oversee preparation of financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis.
• Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain accurate financial information.
• Ensure internal controls, accounting procedures, GAAP, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements are followed.
• Work with business units and senior stakeholders to resolve accounting and financial reporting issues.
• Identify training needs, support associates, and approve development plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
• 3–6 years of general accounting experience and 13 months to 3 years of management experience.
• Knowledge of general ledgers, financial statements, GAAP, accounting software, and financial analysis.
• Ability to supervise, evaluate, develop, and communicate priorities to others.
• Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) certification is required unless an exemption or grandfathering provision applies.
• Series 99 certification may be required depending on the assigned functional area and may be obtained within 120 days as required by FINRA.
