Staff Software Engineer (Distributed Systems)

Location: On-site at the Bellevue, WA or Menlo Park, CA offices.

Salary: $236K–$339.2K annually.

What you will do

• Design and build software systems that help engineering teams increase development velocity.
• Build quality validation capabilities optimized for cost and performance.
• Accelerate the delivery of high-quality software to production.
• Ensure solutions serve current customer needs while keeping pace with technological trends and future demands.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Experience with SQL or other database technologies, including internal design and implementation.
• Experience with query optimization, query execution, and compiler design and implementation.
• Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL internals.
• Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed-systems infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborate well, and mentor junior engineers.
• Ability to work on-site at the Bellevue, WA or Menlo Park, CA offices.

Nice to have

• Experience with release validation pipelines and test infrastructure in production.
