Staff Software Engineer (SQL)

Location: On-site at the Bellevue, WA or Menlo Park, CA offices

Salary: $236,000–$339,200 per year

What you will do

• Design and build software systems that increase engineering development velocity.
• Develop quality validation capabilities optimized for cost and performance.
• Design, build, and operate large-scale distributed systems infrastructure.
• Build release validation pipelines and production test infrastructure.
• Help align execution with customer needs and future technology demands.
• Collaborate across the team and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Experience with SQL or other database technologies, including internal design and implementation.
• Experience with query optimization, query execution, and compiler design and implementation.
• Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL internals.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to work on-site at the Bellevue, WA or Menlo Park, CA offices.
