Staff Software Engineer (Mac Cloud)

Location: Remote within the United States

Base salary: USD $140,400–$372,300 per year

What you will do

• Set the technical direction for the macOS platform within hirify.global Actions.
• Design, develop, test, and ship scalable software across hirify.global services.
• Design APIs and automated CI/CD pipelines for integration and continuous delivery.
• Lead architecture briefs, technical proposals, experiments, and cross-functional engineering initiatives.
• Improve system reliability, security, performance, observability, and operational readiness at scale.
• Provide technical leadership through mentorship, code reviews, testing plans, success metrics, and incident response.

Requirements

• 9+ years of software engineering or related technical experience, or equivalent experience; degree-based alternatives are accepted.
• Production software development experience with one or more languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
• Willingness and ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule providing 24/7 coverage for one week every 2.5 months.
• Experience with large-scale system architecture, distributed systems, microservices, cloud environments, or CI/CD systems is relevant to the role.

Nice to have

• Experience with Bash, Python, Ruby, React, Go, JavaScript or TypeScript, MySQL, Cosmos DB, Elasticsearch, Datadog, Sentry, or Azure Data Explorer.
• Experience with Cloud Native Computing Foundation concepts and cloud-based architecture.
• Experience developing for macOS or iOS platforms.
• Experience partnering with product management, design, and engineering teams on cross-functional projects.
