Specialist, Parts Ordering (Night Shift) (Automotive)

Location: Huntsville, United States; onsite night-shift work. Availability is required outside normal working hours, including weekends, holidays, shutdowns, and domestic or international travel as needed.

Hiring range: $84,581.12–$108,270.98 annual salary, plus a yearly discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.

What you will do

• Coordinate MTM and OSP team members to achieve production schedules while maintaining federal, state, and local ESOH compliance.
• Manage parts flow, shop-floor inventory levels, abnormalities, and on-time delivery across manufacturing and internal logistics areas.
• Monitor domestic and international supplier performance and expedite parts and returnable packaging.
• Manage supply chain crises and coordinate with 3PL operations, suppliers, general stores, and other stakeholders.
• Lead problem-solving and countermeasure efforts, support new model launches and shutdowns, and manage production-related change points.
• Work with advisors from Mazda and Toyota and contribute to annual business plans and strategies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of production systems and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical thinking, root-cause analysis, countermeasure implementation, and project strategy development.
• Understanding of data analysis and visualization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work a second-shift schedule and additional shifts, weekends, holidays, shutdowns, and required travel.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in industrial engineering, mathematics, business management, information technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of production control experience in a high-volume environment, preferably automotive manufacturing.
• Project management and complex project or team leadership experience.
• CTPAT or other trade compliance training or certification.
• Experience with SQL, data management, automation, reporting, and Microsoft Power Platform tools.
