Occupational Therapist II (Healthcare)

Location: Tufts Medical Center; onsite inpatient clinical role

Salary: $83,200.00–$98,614.15 per year; sign-on bonus eligible

What you will do

• Evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, and self-care abilities across acute and medically complex conditions.
• Develop realistic short- and long-term goals and individualized occupational therapy plans of care.
• Deliver treatment involving therapeutic exercise, physical modalities, splinting, adaptive equipment, and other occupational therapy techniques.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, nurses, social workers, and allied health professionals to promote safety, independence, and effective discharge planning.
• Document and bill services accurately while maintaining quality, safety, infection control, and departmental standards.
• Educate colleagues and hospital employees, supervise and mentor students and support staff, and contribute to clinical service improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Active Occupational Therapy license and National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy registration.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• At least one year of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and work effectively with patients of different ages and levels of disability.
• Ability to stand, walk, and transfer patients; regularly lift or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One to two years of clinical experience.
