Specialist, Parts Management

Location: Huntsville, United States; onsite manufacturing role with domestic and international travel, overtime, weekend and holiday work during peak periods, and flexibility for second or rotating shifts.

Hiring range: $86,419.84–$110,624.70 annual salary, plus a yearly discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.

What you will do

• Lead the establishment and ramp-up of engineering and parts management activities at a high-volume automotive manufacturing operation.
• Monitor component parts flow, adjust shop-floor inventory levels, and identify supply chain abnormalities.
• Evaluate supplier performance across the United States, Mexico, Canada, and Japan.
• Coordinate crisis response and lead problem-solving efforts with internal and external supply chain stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Mazda and Toyota team members and work cross-functionally with manufacturing and conveyance teams to ensure on-time parts delivery.
• Support new model launches, shutdown coordination, change point management, annual business plans, and production strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in industrial engineering, mathematics, business management, information technology, supply chain, logistics, or a related manufacturing field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong mathematical ability and cross-functional problem-solving experience.
• Experience coordinating, presenting, or leading decision-making meetings.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
• Ability to work up to 20 hours of overtime during peak periods, including weekends and holidays, and to work second or rotating shifts.

• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
• Supplier performance management experience and vehicle manufacturing experience.
• Toyota parts ordering and eKanban experience.
• Project management, strategy development, problem-solving, and countermeasure experience in large-scale manufacturing.
