Principal Electrical Engineer (PCB)

Location: Secaucus, New Jersey, United States; onsite

Salary: $116,250–$193,750 per year base salary, with potential bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Lead system-level architecture and board-level implementation from early product concepts through production launch.
• Prepare specifications, bills of materials, schematics, and design documentation while supervising junior engineers and external suppliers.
• Define PCB layout guidelines and oversee Layout Engineers to ensure physical and electrical requirements are met.
• Use simulation tools and engineering calculations to verify design compliance.
• Lead and mentor layout, system bring-up, and debugging teams.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and domestic and international engineering teams while defining production test methods and balancing cost, performance, quality, and schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 12+ years of experience designing and debugging computer-related PCB boards, or 10+ years with a master’s degree.
• Experience with analog and digital design, high-speed bus interfaces, and high-speed PCB layout.
• Strong ability to debug high-speed designs and signal integrity issues.
• Knowledge of power distribution techniques and x86 processor system architecture.
• Experience implementing SAS/SATA, PCIe, USB, DDR2/3, and CPU front-side bus interfaces, along with strong leadership and communication skills.
