Financial Analyst

Location: Remote, United States; listed location: Charlotte, NC 28202

Salary: $68,000–$102,400 per year

Day & Zimmermann provides management and business services, with this role supporting the M&C Business Services finance division.

What you will do

• Analyze business performance indicators and operational drivers, communicating insights to business partners.
• Develop and improve forecasts through data validation, scenario modeling, and trend analysis.
• Support monthly close activities, annual budgets, external audits, and quarterly forecasts.
• Build financial models and use business intelligence tools to improve reporting and decision-making.
• Identify automation opportunities and lead cross-functional process improvement projects.
• Partner with the VP of Finance and stakeholders to align financial strategies with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Strong analytical, quantitative, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control, GAAP, Government Cost Accounting Standards, and FAR provisions.
• Ability to interpret financial variances, manage multiple priorities, and provide consultative guidance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Arts or Sciences (BA/BS).
• At least two years of professional experience in financial analysis or a related field.
• Ability to work remotely in the United States and attend the designated company office or work site as required.
