What you will do

• Cover general news assignments in a fast-paced newsgathering environment.
• Operate electronic video cameras, cell phones, editing equipment, and other equipment relevant to news stories.
• Operate live ENG remote newsgathering equipment.
• Respond quickly to breaking news and remain available when urgent coverage is required.
• Work varying shifts, overtime, weekends, holidays, and irregular hours, including in all weather conditions.

Requirements

• Fluent English and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• High school diploma.
• At least two years of experience operating video recording equipment.
• Proficiency with video recording equipment, computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and other office equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, manage multiple tasks, and work any shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, drive, maintain a clean motor vehicle record, and provide proof of insurance.

Nice to have

• College degree.
• Online work samples showing videography and editing, preferably in a news setting.
