Strategic Pursuits Director - Industries, Ports & Shortlines

Location: Fully remote; candidates may be located anywhere within the United States. Routine travel of up to 60% is expected.

Salary: $140,000–$150,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain market-focused business plans for Industries, Ports, and Short Line accounts.
• Identify, develop, and strengthen relationships with Class 1, industrial, port, and shortline decision-makers.
• Identify client needs, track opportunities, and support revenue growth across assigned accounts.
• Coordinate communication and resources between clients, the Project Management Office, and opportunity leaders.
• Prepare and deliver client-facing presentations and marketing materials describing service capabilities and value.
• Represent hirify.global at industry associations, conferences, and networking events while identifying new opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of direct experience in the Class 1 or Short Line railroad landscape.
• Established management-level relationships with Class 1, industrial, port, and shortline clients, especially in Engineering, Operations, and Procurement.
• Deep knowledge of Class 1 and Short Line industrial and economic development procedures, policies, projects, and holding companies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency with computers, email, and software used to create presentations and promotional materials.
• Strong presentation, communication, discretion, and relationship-building skills.
