Sr. Plant Scheduler (Manufacturing)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, USA; onsite in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment.

What you will do

• Direct material planning and scheduling to meet facility objectives and customer requirements.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, shortages, negative on-hand balances, supplier follow-ups, and daily performance metrics.
• Develop internal and external material flow plans and improve procedures supporting safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
• Coordinate supplier and interplant material arrivals while optimizing inventory, lead times, packaging, transportation costs, and plant downtime.
• Assist with material-related issue resolution, safety investigations, labor reporting, absentee tracking, and overtime approvals.
• Train and support plant planners and schedulers, provide career guidance, and promote Lean approaches and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of material planning or scheduling experience.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Availability for a full-time role in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of MAPICS and MRP systems is desired.
