Location: Remote, with primarily field- and customer-site-based work, frequent travel, and extended assignments at nuclear power plants and energy project sites. Travel of 50%+ is required, including shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Estimated annual base salary: $115,000–$143,000. Salaried, non-exempt; eligible for overtime and per diem benefits while traveling.

What you will do
- Serve as the on-site technical authority for electrical and I&C activities during outages, maintenance projects, and specialty field work.
- Direct and oversee union electricians, I&C technicians, and specialty technical personnel in accordance with union work practices.
- Review work packages, procedures, drawings, schematics, technical specifications, and OEM documentation before execution.
- Coordinate daily activities with customers, FieldWorks leadership, and craft teams to support safe and efficient project delivery.
- Provide technical oversight for troubleshooting complex electrical and I&C equipment and system issues.
- Coach craft personnel, identify capability gaps, and support training, qualification, and workforce development.
Requirements
- Associate degree in electrical engineering technology, power plant technology, industrial technology, engineering technology, or equivalent education and relevant experience.
- 7+ years of experience in electrical and/or I&C maintenance, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, or outage execution in nuclear, power generation, energy, or heavy industrial environments.
- Completed formal electrical or I&C apprenticeship or advanced craft training program; union apprenticeship experience is preferred.
- Deep knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, including power distribution, switchgear, transformers, motors, generators, protective relays, MCCs, and industrial controls.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safe work practices and applicable requirements, including NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA, quality standards, and plant procedures.
- Valid driver’s license, ability to travel extensively, and ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access authorization for commercial nuclear power plants.
Nice to have
- Commercial nuclear power plant and scheduled outage experience.
- Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, or relevant electrical or I&C certification.
- Experience with NETA testing practices, electrical test equipment, protective relaying, commissioning, or electrical diagnostics.
- Experience developing technical training, apprenticeship, qualification, or workforce development programs.
- Familiarity with NETA, IEEE, EPRI, NFPA 70E, NEC, and nuclear industry standards.
