Information & Data Architect (Medtech)

Location: Fridley, Minnesota, United States

Salary: $178,400–$267,600 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Define and maintain logical information architecture, business definitions, metadata standards, data dictionaries, and data models.
• Lead cross-functional data discovery and requirements activities across engineering, clinical, quality, regulatory, commercial, and product teams.
• Establish governance standards for data ownership, stewardship, quality, lifecycle management, documentation, and traceability.
• Analyze and document data flows, integrations, dependencies, and information exchanges across platform applications and enterprise systems.
• Partner with software engineering teams to integrate architecture, governance, privacy, security, and integration requirements into solution designs.
• Develop data catalogs, quality metrics, monitoring processes, and role-based access governance for reporting, analytics, compliance, and future AI/ML initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, master’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or PhD.
• Extensive experience with software architecture, APIs, enterprise integrations, and software development lifecycles.
• Strong experience with relational databases, SQL, logical data modeling, entity relationship diagrams, and information architecture.
• Experience with data warehouses, analytics platforms, reporting solutions, or cloud-based data ecosystems.
• Experience with data cataloging, metadata management, master data management, data stewardship, and data governance frameworks.
• Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is available only for Principal-level roles and above.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with HIPAA, FDA software lifecycle processes, privacy regulations, and quality management systems.
• Understanding of role-based access control, identity management, authentication, authorization, and information security principles.
• Experience documenting complex systems, metadata, business processes, and data flows.
