Intermediate Financial Analyst - Investments

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States; hybrid work required

Salary: $64,000–$80,000 annually, with potential eligibility for an annual bonus under the company bonus plan.

What you will do

• Perform monthly accounting processes, including journal entry preparation, suspense balance monitoring, and reconciliation approvals.
• Maintain data integrity and quality in Clearwater Analytics, reviewing daily activity and explaining system-calculated accounting results.
• Extract and analyze financial and attribute data to troubleshoot complex discrepancies and support management reporting.
• Assist with regulatory financial reporting under Statutory, IFRS, and US GAAP frameworks.
• Develop standardized and ad-hoc financial reports for senior leadership and explain historical performance or projected results.
• Document business requirements, participate in testing, recommend process improvements, and collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
• At least three years of relevant experience with a degree.
• Advanced computer skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, manage multiple projects, and work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to work in a hybrid office environment in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
• Willingness to travel occasionally, less than 10%.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of investments, insurance products, premiums, or another financial area.
• Customer service orientation, organizational and prioritization skills, and willingness to take on new projects.
