Staff Software Engineer (AI/PropTech)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end pipeline that ingests property management data, runs demand and renewal models, and produces rental pricing recommendations.
• Reconcile inconsistent lease and charge data from property management systems with fragmented APIs and no shared identity model.
• Build and maintain AWS infrastructure, databases, queues, IAM roles, encryption, networking, and alarms with Terraform.
• Develop the orchestration layer for ingestion, inference, and downstream daily jobs, including input gating and failure recovery.
• Implement observability and alerting for pipeline health, data freshness, and recommendation drift.
• Work across Python, Terraform, and Ruby on Rails while setting quality standards for AI-assisted engineering.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and operating production systems with significant end-to-end ownership.
• Strong Python experience in serverless or service environments, including AWS Lambda, container images, dependency management, and multi-stage orchestration.
• Hands-on Terraform experience provisioning production data stores and their IAM, encryption, networking, and monitoring.
• Fluent analytical SQL and data modeling skills, including multi-stage warehouse pipelines and reconciliation of messy source data.
• Ability to work across large Ruby on Rails codebases and experience with relational, key-value/document, and search databases.
• Deep AWS knowledge across Lambda, S3, SQS, Kinesis, EventBridge, DynamoDB, Aurora/RDS, Redshift, and IAM, plus experience operating machine learning models in production.

Nice to have

• Golang experience and large-scale web scraping with Playwright or similar tools.
• OpenSearch index management, SOC 2 or security remediation experience.
• Experience with xgboost, scikit-learn, SHAP, multifamily, PropTech, or revenue management.
