Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: San Juan, Puerto Rico; hybrid schedule with office work in Santurce Tuesday through Thursday and remote work Monday and Friday.

What you will do

• Build and scale distributed services, message-driven pipelines, and platform infrastructure for personalization and data.
• Design, deploy, operate, and support high-performance backend services with observability and fault tolerance.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure using GitHub Actions, Terraform, and AWS.
• Build intelligent agents and automation in Python and experiment with AI frameworks, tools, and architectures.
• Research and prototype services and APIs with Go, Python, TypeScript, and NextJS to validate technical concepts.
• Collaborate with data science, product, and engineering teams while contributing to architecture, code reviews, and technical standards.

Requirements

• Senior-level software engineering experience with API development and production systems.
• Proficiency in React and React Native, with understanding of Python; Go experience is a plus.
• Solid experience with Amazon Web Services, CI/CD pipelines, and production testing.
• Interest in OpenAI, LangChain, and large language models.
• Ability to work autonomously on ambiguous problems and apply agile principles to manage uncertainty.
• Ability to work from the San Juan, Puerto Rico area and attend the Santurce office Tuesday through Thursday.
