Manager, Accounting (Hybrid - Atlanta, GA)

Location: Atlanta, GA, United States; hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The office is expected to transition from Paces Ferry to Atlantic Station; timing is TBD.

What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close operations under US GAAP, including close calendars, journal entries, reconciliations, consolidation, and foreign currency accounting.
• Manage, mentor, and develop Senior and Staff Accountants through onboarding, training, goal-setting, and ongoing coaching.
• Review variance analyses and prepare reporting materials for senior management and the Controller.
• Support SEC filings, including 10-K and 10-Q financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain SOX Section 404 key controls and coordinate with Internal Audit and external auditors.
• Improve close, consolidation, and reporting workflows while driving adoption of AI-powered accounting and automation tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification required.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3–5+ years in a publicly traded, SEC-reporting environment.
• 3+ years of direct people management experience and 3+ years of SOX 404 compliance experience, including ICFR design and RCM ownership.
• Experience supporting 10-K and 10-Q filings and accelerated filing deadlines.
• Experience with a large ERP such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or a similar platform.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and a high degree of integrity when handling MNPI.
