Principal AI Platform Architect

Location: Auburndale, Massachusetts, USA; in-person work three days a week or more, with flexibility to work from home or remotely at other times

What you will do

• Design and build a scalable AI platform supporting LLMs, agentic workflows, and federated development across multiple teams.
• Architect cloud-native enterprise solutions on Google Cloud Platform and define patterns for microservices, event-driven systems, and API-first design.
• Establish standards for AI governance, security, evaluation, observability, and operational excellence.
• Build CI/CD pipelines for automatic cloud deployment while integrating with legacy systems.
• Provide architectural guidance through reviews and standards, balancing strategic direction with hands-on implementation.
• Partner with product leaders, engineering teams, and executives to enable reusable platform capabilities and new AI components.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise software platforms at scale.
• Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform services, semantics, and AI capabilities; Vertex AI experience is preferred.
• Production experience with AI platforms, agentic frameworks, LLMs, orchestration, and evaluation loops for monitoring and tuning AI systems.
• Strong knowledge of event-driven architecture, distributed systems, microservices, APIs, platform security, governance, and responsible AI.
• Python proficiency, plus experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native tools.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence technical direction across multiple engineering organizations.
