Principal Enterprise Data Platform Architect (AI)

What you will do

• Define the global architecture blueprint and technology decision trees for enterprise analytical and AI platforms across OCI, GCP, and Azure.
• Architect the 10-layer Modern Data Operating System and lead the transition from legacy ETL pipelines to high-code platform engineering.
• Build a centralized metadata control plane and automated data catalog with schema tracking, lineage, data quality observability, GitOps, and reusable developer tooling.
• Establish AI infrastructure standards for vector databases, knowledge graphs, feature stores, RAG pipelines, Gemini LLM solutions, and autonomous AI agents.
• Design the Universal Security Model with ABAC, fine-grained masking, Okta/Active Directory integration, and SRE-style platform observability.
• Lead and mentor the Data Platform Engineering squad while supporting technical career progression and competency frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure design, including 3+ years leading technical teams in a global enterprise.
• Expertise in OCI, GCP, Azure, Oracle ADW, Databricks, and Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Apache Airflow, Kafka/Confluent, CDC/GoldenGate, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience architecting enterprise AI/ML infrastructure, including vector databases, knowledge graphs, feature stores, RAG pipelines, and Gemini integrations.
• Strategic leadership, communication, mentoring, security-model design, and executive presentation skills are required.
