Claim Rep Outside Liability

Location: Field position servicing insureds and agents in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area; the selected candidate must reside in the assigned territory. A company vehicle is provided.

Salary: $67,000–$110,600 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Investigate, evaluate, reserve, negotiate, and settle assigned commercial and personal liability claims.
• Conduct coverage, liability, bodily injury, and property damage investigations using policy information, statements, records, estimates, photographs, and expert input.
• Complete field inspections, document damages, prepare or review estimates, and determine settlement amounts using applicable limits, deductibles, valuations, and jurisdictional rules.
• Manage claim files, diaries, reserves, exposure evaluations, communications, and timely claim disposition.
• Negotiate with insureds, claimants, and legal representatives, including managing litigated claims and legal expenses when required.
• Attend depositions, mediations, arbitrations, pre-trials, trials, and other legal proceedings as needed.

Requirements

• At least two years of commercial and/or personal liability claim handling experience.
• At least one year of bodily injury claim experience.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to make independent decisions, manage multiple tasks, communicate effectively, collaborate, and provide customer-focused service.
• Insurance licenses may be required and generally must be obtained within three months of starting the job.
• Must reside in the assigned Pittsburgh, PA service territory.
