Postsecondary Success Specialist

Location: College Station, Texas, with regular statewide travel to multiple service areas. Candidates outside College Station may be considered through an alternate work location agreement; flexible schedules and remote work options may be available depending on role and eligibility.

What you will do

• Design and implement regional workplans to improve rural students' postsecondary transition, retention, and completion.
• Build partnerships with postsecondary institutions, communities, and statewide education initiatives.
• Develop measurable project goals and monitor progress with project team members.
• Design and deliver student workshops, programming events, and retention campaigns across multiple institutions.
• Connect students with internships, campus advisors, and career events.
• Coach students in navigating financial aid, academic advising, mental health, and tutoring resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Five years of related experience.
• Ability to use technology and social media tools to reach target audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet applications.
• Ability to travel statewide and work across multiple service areas.

Nice to have

• Six or more years of relevant professional experience.
• Master's degree in higher education.
• Experience in postsecondary education settings.
• Experience working with rural communities and underserved rural student populations.
