Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service provides emergency response training, workforce training, and technical assistance through programs including infrastructure and safety, cybersecurity, law enforcement, and homeland security.

What you will do

• Assist with training specialty skilled and semi-skilled water program courses.
• Deliver online, classroom, and field-based skills instruction.
• Apply adult learning theories and different learning styles to support learner success.
• Use varied media to present course materials and provide technical assistance in the specialty area.
• Help create and update curriculum content to meet learner needs.
• Maintain technical competence and report to the Training Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, design, construction, or regulation of water utility systems.
• One year of experience training adults, including on-the-job training.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• Texas Class B Water license and Texas Class B Wastewater license, or Wastewater Collection II or III.
• 60 hours of classroom instructional experience or approved instructor training; the requirement may be attained within six months of employment.
