Community Association Attorney – Litigation and/or Transactional

Location: Irvine, California, United States. The role begins with a hybrid onboarding period and can transition to fully remote work after the initial integration period.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 annual base salary, plus bonus and profit sharing.

California-based law firm providing legal counsel to homeowner and community associations throughout the state.

What you will do

• Represent condominium, townhouse, planned development, and other community associations throughout California.
• Advise association boards and community managers on legal, governance, operational, CCR, and corporate matters.
• Handle litigation involving real estate, construction defects, contracts, and community association disputes.
• Prepare and review governing documents, contracts, corporate documents, board resolutions, and other real estate-related materials.
• Work directly with firm partners, clients, boards, and community managers.
• Contribute to client education, legal publications, presentations, and business-development initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant legal practice.
• Active California Bar membership.
• Experience in community association or HOA law, real estate, litigation, transactional law, or related practice areas.
• Strong litigation experience for litigation and hybrid candidates.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• HOA or community association law experience.
• Construction defect or real estate litigation experience.
• Real estate transactions, corporate governance, construction, or business contracts experience.
