Industrial Engineer (Facilities and Real Estate)

Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA. Onsite role with occasional travel and regular in-person facility, workspace, and construction coordination duties.

What you will do

• Maintain AutoCAD drawings, facility layouts, occupancy records, and space-planning documentation.
• Analyze seating capacity and workplace utilization, and develop office, engineering, and manufacturing layouts.
• Coordinate employee moves, furniture installations, workspace reconfigurations, and facility readiness activities.
• Manage small facility renovations and capital improvement projects, including budgets, schedules, and documentation.
• Coordinate contractors, architects, vendors, and internal stakeholders, and review architectural and construction drawings.
• Support new facility startups and drive continuous improvement in workplace efficiency and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, facilities management, construction management, architectural engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience in facilities planning, AutoCAD, construction coordination, or project management.
• Knowledge of facility planning, space utilization, workplace design, and workplace optimization.
• Knowledge of basic commercial construction methods and the ability to interpret architectural and construction documents.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, coordinate diverse stakeholders, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to stand and walk regularly, perform computer-based work, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
