Principal Engineer-Quality (Supplier)

Location: Mount Holly Springs, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite factory support required

What you will do

• Manage supplier quality scores and follow up on improvement actions.
• Audit supplier sites and track corrective actions through closure.
• Drive supplier improvement programs and process improvements.
• Investigate quality failures identified during incoming inspection and production.
• Lead failure analysis, containment, Supplier Corrective Action Requests, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with Factory Quality, Operations, Supply Management, business units, quality teams, purchasing, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, including physics, chemistry, statistics, materials, mechanical, electrical, electronics, or chemical engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in a quality assurance department managing suppliers or subcontractors.
• Strong expertise in material science and mechatronics engineering.
• Experience applying continuous-improvement and recognized problem-solving methodologies.
• Ability to coordinate, track, and follow up on issues and projects; ability to travel when required.
• Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship, permanent U.S. residency, or protected-individual status under U.S. export-control requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in PCBA or electronic-component manufacturing.
• Knowledge of QC tools, automotive core tools, ISO/IATF/AS quality systems, and VDA6.3 audits.
• Understanding of JEDEC, IPC, and military standard requirements for SMD packages.
